Personally, I love mocktails. They quench my thirst, don’t get me drunk and I love trying different combinations. They also look great and I can pretend that they’re one of my five daily portions of fruit and veg. So, if you’re like me and don’t mind giving alcohol a miss, here are some mocktails for you to consider
Apple Virgin Mojito
Could anything be more classic than a mojito? And apple will compliment the tart lemon and lime flavours giving you a refreshing lift in the middle of the day.
Freshly squeezed lemon juice
Freshly squeezed lime juice
Ginger Pear Mocktail
Pear and ginger are a great combination and this drink is served with a pear drop sweet.
Sprigs of rosemary
Freshly grated ginger
Fresh lemon juice
Ginger beer to top up
1 pear drop sweet to serve
You know this drink, sparkling wine, and orange juice. Well this mocktail substitutes the sparkling wine for sparkling grape juice. It looks the same and tastes fantastic.
Sparkling grape juice
The Hurricane is a popular cocktail and here is the non-alcoholic version for anyone after something fruity.
A mixed tropical blend
Or how about a Bellini? Another popular choice that can be adapted so it’s suitable for anyone refraining from alcohol.
Sparkling white grape juice
I couldn’t finish without giving you a raspberry mocktail, it is my favourite fruit after all! And it’s another mojito because they’re so fresh and revitalising, and lime goes with most other fruits.
Sparkling mineral water
Whether you’re abstaining from alcohol or just fancy something refreshing between alcoholic drinks, you’ll be spoilt for choice. And our Lakeside Wing has that perfect mocktail/cocktail feel, modern with fantastic views over the lake.
