High Street Wedding Dresses

So, the other day, we looked at how a summer dress is actually perfect for a wedding dress. While looking, and daydreaming, over all the gorgeous dresses that I would love to own, I stumbled into the realm of High Street wedding dresses.

These are off the peg wedding dresses, every bit as dramatic and glamorous as the designer ones, just readily available at High Street prices.

With hand-crafted tape-work lace and finished with pearl beading, this dress has extra length at the back for a train and a subtle shimmer.

This classic still maxi dress with caplet sleeves has a heart-shaped neckline under a high neck overlay which falls to a cowl back.

For a romantic look, this tulle skirt provides dreamy volume for that princess look without the royal price.

The mermaid tail, or trumpet dress, is a popular style with a fitted skirt that flares at the bottom. This dress uses that style with a sleek flare for an elegant silhouette while still giving freedom of movement.

There is elegance in simplicity. The raised front hem gives the impression of a train at the back. The floral lace is delicate and summery.

With long shimmering sleeves, this mermaid-tail dress has a timeless quality for a very feminine appearance.

Although this appears quite minimalist, the laced tiers give detail and embellishment, proving that a little can go a long way.

For a vintage look, this satin dress was inspired by the Thirties and oozes the Golden Age of Hollywood.

The tulle skirt gives the impression of volume without the heaviness that can come with a layered skirt. With a sleeveless v-neckline, it is extremely feminine and delicate.

Another example from Ghost, is this cowl neck front and back. With extra length gathered around the feet, it gives the illusion of floating as well as a train.
