Autumn Cocktails
It’s around now that I start looking forward to autumn. I’m an autumn kinda gal. Cooler air, shorter evenings but still warm enough to walk around without a coat and a glut of fruit we only get during this season. I’ve scoured the internet looking for some of the tastiest ones for you to try for your wedding.
Is anything more autumnal than pumpkins? I think not, and while not the first ingredient that springs to mind for a cocktail this recipe sounds too delicious not to try.
2oz vodka
1oz coffee liqueur
1oz double cream
1tbsp pumpkin puree (you can get this in cans)
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice.
To make this simply pour everything into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake, then strain over ice and sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice.
This is a great cocktail for autumn or winter weddings and it’s really simple to make.
1 ½ cups of cranberry juice
¾ cup of fresh lime
¾ cup tequila
½ orange flavoured liqueur
Mix all the ingredients together and pour over ice in sugar or salt rimmed glasses. You can use fresh cranberries and lime wedges as a garnish.
I’m all for easy drinks. Less time prepping them, more time enjoying them. This autumn cocktail has only a few ingredients and takes very little time to make.
1 part Martini Bianco
A dash of apple juice
Ginger ale to taste
Mix Martini with the apple juice and pour over ice then add as much ginger beer as you want and garnish with apple segments. How easy is that?
I’ve recently discovered gin, I know, I know, how behind the times am I? But I’m here now and this is definitely one I’m going to try.
4oz Gin
4oz apple cider
1oz lime juice
2oz honey simple syrup
A dash of cinnamon
To make the honey syrup add ¼ cup hot water and ¼ cup of honey to a mason jar and shake until the honey’s dissolved.
Then combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with some ice and shake until chilled. You can garnish with apple matchsticks and thyme sprigs if you want.
I couldn’t have a blog about autumn cocktails without including one with pears. This one sounds amazing.
1 1/2 oz gin infused with dried pear and apples
½ oz absinthe
1oz apple cider
½ oz pear brandy
½ oz fresh lemon juise
2 dashes of chocolate bitters
2oz ginger beer
Mix all the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker then strain over ice into a glass.
