Beauty Habits To Start Before Your Wedding
It goes without saying that you want to look your absolute best on your big day. Here, I’m taking a look at some simple beauty habits to start before your wedding that are very easy to adopt and will make a big difference to your skin for your all important photographs.
Cleanse Your Skin Morning And Evening
This may seem obvious but it’s my number one all important tip, which will give the most amazing results within no time, no matter what your skin type.
The best method to use is hot cloth cleansing – first remove your eye make up, then massage your cleanser into your face and remove with a muslin cloth or cotton flannel that you have first soaked in warm water .
Make sure you do this no matter how tired you are, the results will be worth it!
Add A Serum To Your Skincare Routine
If you’re not already using a serum, start to apply one underneath your regular moisturiser morning and evening. Serums contain active ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, which target specific concerns and penetrate deeper into the skin for noticeable results.
Use A Primer
Using a primer underneath your foundation is a great habit to adopt if you don’t already use one.
It is a multi tasking product that will prolong the wear of your foundation, minimise pores, help to minimise fine lines and reduce shine – important for wedding photographs!
Exfoliate Once A Week
Your skin cells are constantly being renewed and the dead cells can clog the pores and give the skin a dull appearance. If you use an exfoliator once a week, this will help to clear away the dead cells on the surface of the skin and your skin will look clearer and fresher as a result.
Have A Professional Facial
It is well worth consulting a professional skincare therapist well in advance of your wedding. They will assess your skin and tailor your treatment and products for the best possible results.
Prioritise Your Beauty Sleep
This can be easier said than done in the run up to your wedding when you’re busy and perhaps feeling a little stressed, but it is one of the most important beauty tips I can offer. Lack of sleep increases the levels of stress hormone and this can exacerbate any existing skin conditions you may have.
Having a regular sleep pattern will help to avoid dull skin, fine lines and under eye dark circles.
Developing a regular sleep pattern and remembering to drink plenty of water each day, are simple habits that will pay dividends on your wedding day when all eyes are upon you !
