Dogs at Weddings
Would you like to include your dog in your wedding celebrations? They are after all much loved members of the family and deserve to be part of your special day.
With some careful planning you can have them present for the ceremony and/or reception.
Check With Your Venue
First of all check that your wedding venue will allow your dog to be present. If this isn’t possible, you could ask your photographer to do an engagement/pre wedding photo shoot, or include your pet in the photographs when you’re getting ready for the ceremony.
Consider Your Dog’s Personality
When deciding whether to involve your dog, consider their temperament, and how they would handle being around a lot of people and having lots of attention on the day.
Dress Them For The Occasion
There are lots of options when dressing your dog for the wedding, although a simple bow tie or bandana would fit the bill and look extremely cute!
Have Them Walk Down The Aisle
Your guests will be delighted to see your pet walking down the aisle to join you.
You may wish to have your flower girl or pageboy bring them down on their lead, or alternatively you could train your dog to be the ring bearer.
Include Them In The Photographs

Appoint A Dog Minder For The Day
Arrange for a close friend or family member who knows your dog well to be on hand to look after them throughout the day so that you can relax and not have to worry that your dog’s needs are being neglected.
