Easter Wedding
In the words of the Easter Bunny from Rise of the Guardians* “Easter is about hope and new beginnings.” Isn’t that a perfect description for a wedding?
You’re getting married which is the beginning of a new phase in your life, and you are full of hopes and dreams about what that phase will be like.
You can easily use Easter as a theme for your wedding making yours a little different from other weddings held around this time.
Favours
Let’s go straight to the good stuff. Regardless of their age, your guests will love getting Easter Eggs as a favour. Particularly the smaller guests.
But if you didn’t want to go down the chocolate route, fluffy Easter teddies are a good shout or even a crafting kit to paint your own eggs.
You could also have egg painting as an activity to keep children happy during the day. Just don’t forget to provide old shirts to cover their party clothes if you want to stay friends with their parents!
Cakes
There’s only one flavour of cake when it comes to Easter Cakes; chocolate. If you’re embracing the theme then a chocolate cake decorated with mini eggs, bunnies, or little chicks is perfect. They’ll give you a stand out wedding cake that will delight everyone.
Or, if you want a more traditional wedding cake, you can be playful with the other desserts. Think about a dessert table filled with everyone’s favourite Easter Treats. Mmmm, Crème Eggs.
Flowers
This is a great time for flowers because of the warming weather. Everywhere you look, new life is coming through. Around this time you’ll find an abundance of daffodils, carnations, freesias, calla lilies, ranunculus and tulips. These are bright, happy flowers that are perfect for bouquets of all designs and sizes. You’ll be spoilt for choice.
Other than flowers, there are lots of other decorations you can use from bunting to balloons.
These will work just as well if hay fever is going to impact the number of flowers you can have.
*And if you haven’t seen Rise of the Guardians, it’s worth it whether there are children watching with you or not. Jude Law is brilliant.
