The front courtyard offers the grandeur of the front of the hall, the Lakeside Gazebo commands a romantic view of the lake, and the Woodland Dome offers a magical, secluded setting for a back to nature wedding. Each of these locations offers you something that a church or registry office can’t. Imagine a wedding ceremony with a carpet of bluebells!

Space

A wedding at Capesthorne Hall is a wedding with space for you to play because you have exclusive use of the formal gardens when you hire the venue. Here are a few ideas of what you can do within the grounds;

The area of Capesthorne is mentioned in the Domesday survey as the “vill of Copestor” and the family who live there now are descendants of the original “Mesne lords of the vill”. There is history at Capesthorne, which is something overseas guests come to the UK for and that we can sometimes take for granted. With our recent accommodation additions, this option is available to you. You can stay in the South Tower cottage or in the Lakeside Village with your closest friends and family.

Or, if you fancy getting back to nature, we have the facilities for you and your guests to stay in our Caravan Park. That will be a unique experience only somewhere like Capesthorne can offer you.

Intimacy

Capesthorne Hall is grand, you can have parties of up to 160 guests. But that’s not a target. If there is a limited number of guests, because it’s not the numbers that matter but the people themselves, you can just use the venue for a much more intimate experience. During the colder months, we can light the fireplaces to create a comfortable, warm atmosphere you’ll never forget.
