Hints of Copper
2018 is seeing a big surge in the use of copper in your wedding theme. Personally, I love this idea. It can either be subtle and understated or big and bold, perfect for a Cheshire wedding at Capesthorne Hall. Have a look at these ideas on how you can incorporate hints of copper in your big day.
Stationery
Let’s start at the beginning. Set the tone for your wedding straight away by including copper on your invites. It could be that you just use copper for the writing or go all out and have everything in this luxurious colour.
Centre Piece
You might think that flowers and metal don’t mix but you’d be wrong. Use copper as a reflective surface to accentuate your flowers. Or, if you’ve chosen green and whites for your centre pieces, copper could add splashes of colour.
Table setting
Using copper cutlery or decorated plates makes a bold statement. Shiny and inviting, copper has a warmer feel than gold and is just as impressive.
Wedding Cake
This cake by La Petite Patisserie is a stunning example of how you can incorporate the colour in every aspect of your wedding. This cake looks amazing and will wow everyone.
But, if you’re not having a traditional wedding cake, maybe say individual cupcakes or a dessert table, then they could also be decorated with copper coloured icing. Or even copper-coloured macaroons! Delicious, decadent little treats.
Bridal Party
Don’t forget the bridal party. There are many ways you can use copper in your dress and makeup that will tie everything together. You could have copper detail in your bouquet or orange coloured flowers.
You could use the colour for your bridesmaids, and the groom and the principal men’s waistcoats.
And for yourself, you could incorporate elements in you hair with decorative hair pieces, make-up, even your shoes. All these little elements will combine to bring your look together, giving you a co-ordinated, on trend wedding.
