Little White Dress

An alternative to the LBD is the LWD, the little white dress, and if you’re a bride who doesn’t want a long gown, this is the way to go. A micro mini dress, tennis dress, tea-length gown, whatever length of wedding dress you want, you will find it, and this blog is dedicated to the shorter dresses.

Tea Length Gown

This is my personal favourite style of dress. The length of the skirt, falling to your mid-calf, is extremely feminine and it suits all types of bodice from a sweet-heart to a high neckline.

It also gives you options for the type of back you want, such as a traditional lace up bodice or a daring backless design.

Knee Length

A longer wedding dress doesn’t suit everyone, and knee-length is the perfect alternative. Whether it is a fitted dress for flashing your curves or a tutu skirt for flare and movement, there are many styles to choose from.

They are ideal for non-traditional, less formal wedding venues like a town hall or an outdoor space where you don’t want to worry about skirts catching on the ground.

Tennis Dress

There is no mistaking the tennis dress, with a low waistline and short skirt. While it is functional in sport, as a wedding dress it manages to be elegant and peppy.

It is an unusual style choice meaning it will give you a unique look for a memorable day.

Micro Mini Dress

And for the rebel bride, there is the micro mini dress. If this is your style, why should you wear anything else on your wedding day? A micro dress is a bold choice of individualism and personality.

You can accessorise any way you like, with a black leather jacket and biker boots, or with an over skirt train and floral crown.

Footwear

With a shorter dress, your footwear plays an important part of your day because there are no skirts to cover them. You can opt for something simple, so your feet won’t steal attention from your dress, or you can use them as a chance to add some extra sparkle and glam to your outfit.

Whatever you choose will finish your look, whether it’s something cute and ballerina-esque, heeled and elegant or booted and rebellious.
