Nature at Capesthorne Hall
There have been some positives to 2020, and one of those is our increased desire to get back to nature. It’s been proven that getting outside for a short walk can boost your mood as well as your energy levels. And being able to bask in the sun is incredibly relaxing as well as great for our vitamin D levels.
At Capesthorne Hall we have extensive grounds that are a peaceful haven for wildlife as well as people. Upon entry you come into our rural parkland which is home to many animals and livestock.
The drive is lined with a series of ponds and lakes and interspersed with trees and ancient woodland. Once you pass by the small stock pond and under the tree canpoy the drive opens out to give a sweeping view of the Hall which is bound to wow your guests as they arrive for your wedding.
Around the Hall are impressive formal gardens with access to the West Lawn from the Drawing Room, and the lake and its gardens from Lakeside Terrace. Both offer something a little different, giving you both space for an outdoor wedding and lawn games to keep your guests entertained.
As the sun sets over the water, the Lakeside is the perfect setting for your evening party, covering everyone in the last light of the day. It’s also a fantastic place to watch fireworks to finish your wedding day with.
And on top of the gardens, we have even more to offer, something which sets us apart from other venues. We have a large ancient woodland area which is home to many different types of trees, animals and birds. There are walks for you to enjoy if you want a few minutes to yourself on the day.
Hidden in a secluded spot is our beautiful woodland dome which, at the right time of the year, is carpeted with bluebells making it the perfect spot for an outdoor woodland wedding to really get back to nature.
And, of course, the garden changes with the seasons. From spring to autumn the gardens are awash with colours that can be incorporated in your wedding to enhance the overall experience.
All of the grounds and gardens are included in the price of hiring the Hall, meaning your wedding can be enjoyed outside in nature and fresh air just as much as inside. Just the thing to soothe our souls and refresh us after the past twelve months.
