Nudes and Blushes
Gone are the days when the only colour option for a wedding dress was white. Ivory and champagne are the standard alternatives but nudes and blushes are growing in popularity. Just look at the top designers’ Spring 2019 collections. They all have at least one blush and neutral colour in their range.
I love dresses in alternative colours. They have a unique feel; stylish with timeless elegance. The bride that wears these is making a huge statement about personality and style-blazing.

Not everyone suits white, it’s why us very pale ladies wear ivory. The softer tones of neutrals and pinks mean they aren’t as stark or harsh as white and there will be a shade that complements your skin tone.

If you’re having a romantic fairy tale or woodland themed wedding, then a blush or neutral wedding dress ties you in with your theme. This is your wedding, don’t have any half measures. If you are having a statement theme, then you must embrace it with your dress.

Neutral and blush wedding dresses come with attitude. Not a full-on rebellious attitude. More of a subtle statement that you are your own woman who won’t conform for conformity’s sake.

There is a princess element to having a pink dress and after all, isn’t that what every woman wants to feel like on her wedding day? The subtle pinks give an extra element of delicacy and romanticism and they come with a Hollywood pedigree. Jessica Biel and Kaley Cuoco are just two of the celebrities who wore pink for their wedding.

Ok, so I’m pushing the boundaries of nude a bit with this one because it’s gold, but I couldn’t resist it. If you don’t fancy neutral or pinks, there are other colours to consider. Don’t be afraid to explore a little.

Fancy nude for your bridesmaids? Here’s how. Brought together with the bride’s belt this is a sophisticated look as it also includes a trend that’s going to be big next year, bridal jump suits.

I hope these dresses have inspired you to try on something different when you’re looking for your dress. You never know which one will take your breath away.
