Outdoor Weddings at Capesthorne Hall

You’re engaged! Congratulations! Now comes the planning and one of the first things you must do is set a date and before you can do that, you need a venue. So, the first decision, after saying yes of course, is where you’re getting married.

You have three choices. The first is a church or other religious building. The second is a registry office. The third is to have a registrar at a venue of your choice.

Capesthorne Hall is one of the approved sites in Cheshire East for couples to have their wedding so if you don’t want a church or a registry office, you can have your wedding ceremony with us in all the splendour of our Jacobean style country home.

With us, you also have the option of where you can have your ceremony. There are three different outdoor locations for you to hold your wedding.

The first is right in the Courtyard at the front of the building, getting the full weight of history and grandeur of the Hall and setting the tone for the rest of the day.

The second is in front of the lake under our Lakeside Gazebo. The walkway to the Gazebo is lined with trees and your guests will sit either side of this natural aisle and on the lawn either side.

The third is in our Woodland Dome. Tucked away in the ancient woodland behind the Hall is a small gazebo which, at the right time of the year, is carpeted with bluebells and has a view to the secluded lower pool.

All three sites offer something a little different depending on what you want, but each will bring a touch of romance to your day. An experience you will never forget.

Not only does having a registrar officiate your wedding give you options, but they may be able to personalise parts of your wedding. Make sure you ask the question when you book.
