Stately Home Weddings
Have you ever watched Downtown Abbey or Bridgerton and longed for a bit of their glamour and romance? With a stately home wedding, the venue provides you with all that timeless elegance without you having to dress it.
When looking for a stately home wedding venue, you will want a setting which stands out from others in the area. As a family-owned stately home set in a green oasis in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, Capesthorne Hall is the perfect venue for your fairy tale wedding.
Your guests will be wowed from the start with our sweeping drive. It curves through our parkland and past our lakes before revealing the house in all its stately glory. As you have exclusive access to our Hall for the day, you can explore the corridors with over 300 years of family history and all its royal connections.
You can also search for the playing card of a magician stuck to the roof of one of our reception rooms during a family celebration. I won’t tell you which room as that would spoil the game!
You and your guests will enter the Hall through the main Courtyard, which also serves as one of our outdoor civil ceremony locations. You can have your wedding breakfast in the Drawing Room or the Queen Anne Room.
Pre-breakfast drinks will be served in The Saloon which opens out onto the Terrace and West Lawn for an exceptional experience.
And you can extend the experience of being Lord and Lady of the Manor for your special day by staying with us. Brides can spend the night before their wedding in our South Tower cottage, a princess in a fairy tale tower before heading off to marry her prince.
And once you are married, you can stay in South Tower cottage again or our Lakeside Village, hidden from public view for your privacy behind the Hall. You will wake up overlooking our lake with all its wildlife for a magical morning after the perfect day.
Capesthorne Hall is a truly unique venue in over a hundred acres of parkland, gardens, woodland and lakes. It brings something to your big day that money can’t buy; history. And as you soak in our history, you will be enriching it with your wedding.
