Styling Your Wedding Venue (Part Two)

Following on from my previous blog on floral décor, I am taking a look at some more ideas for decorating your wedding reception.

And styling your wedding venue is such a fun part of your planning.

Light Up Letters

These are still a very popular choice and give great visual impact to your reception venue.

They are available in different sizes and most couples choose to have either their initials, the classic ‘Love’, or ‘Mr & Mrs’.

Chair Decorations

Chair decorations are a very effective way to give your dining chairs an individual look using fabric, fresh flowers and foliage to tone in with your colour scheme.

Check that the banquet chair backs suit the type of decoration you want to use to ensure it is secure and does not slide off when guests are seated.

Seating Plans

A unique seating plan at the entrance to your reception room can be a feature in itself. There are so many different designs to choose from.

They are a lovely way to welcome your guests and help them find their seats for the wedding breakfast.

Photo Displays

This is a fun and quirky display idea that will provide a point of interest for your guests.

A display of photographs that show the story of your romance and relationship so far.

Candelabras

Candelabras are a timeless and classic table decoration that will always give a stylish look to your wedding breakfast tables.

Decorate them with flowers or use them as they are for dramatic effect.

The flickering soft lights create a beautiful romantic atmosphere. Check with your wedding coordinator, as you may be required to use artificial candles indoors.

Professional Lighting

If you really want to include the wow factor, it is well worth consulting a professional lighting company to design lighting and special effects for your wedding reception.

Even the most simple of lighting effects can make a world of difference to the atmosphere in your venue.

Most lighting companies will also be able to arrange a firework display upon request, providing this is permissible. At Capesthorne Hall we recommend an amazing local company called Lightech.

Your wedding coordinator will be able to advise you.
