Essential Autumn Wedding Inspiration

Here comes the rain again and with it the change in colours, temperature and mood. There are so many things we all love about a Summer wedding, but Autumn weddings are so under-rated. That’s why, here at Capesthorne, we are open and available for wedding bookings all year round! So, to inspire you to stage your wedding in the height of autumnal magic, in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, here are 6 essential Autumn pieces of inspiration for your wedding.

Leaves

…leaves, leaves, leaves, everywhere leaves! Make the most of the colours, textures and shapes of the leaves falling all around, whether that be for place settings, table decor, or simply photo opportunities.

Lights

With the change in the clocks and darkening afternoons, get out the fairy lights, tea lights, lanterns, you name it. The glow of candle light will complement the natural colour theme of burnt oranges, chocolate browns and rusty reds.

Florals

Get super creative with your florals and spread them everywhere. Research the plants and fruits in season and don’t limit your arrangements. Think blackberries, figs, pine cones, bracken, moss, twigs and branches.

Fruit and Veg

Fruit and veg alone can be cleverly incorporated into your decorative features, such as place settings and wedding cake. We love these pumpkin vases and pumpkin lights.

Comforters

With the swift change in weather, make sure you have plenty of warmers available for your guests, in the way of drinks, hot food and snacks but also blankets. It might be worth enquiring with your venue as to whether you may have a fire pit!

Eclectic Mixes

With an Autumn wedding there really are no stops on creative output. Brides, consider having a non-traditional cover up, for instance a leather jacket. Get wood on your tables, pine cones hanging from the ceilings, and every imaginable fun picture in the stunning autumnal surroundings.
