Outdoor Wedding at Capesthorne Hall
Set in over 100 acres of picturesque Cheshire parkland and with over 1000 years of history, why not consider an outdoor wedding at Capesthorne Hall?
To make your special day even more unique and memorable we can offer you three special outdoor locations for your civil ceremony.
Your first option is the beautiful courtyard which is at the heart of the main building, a stunning location surrounded by the main hall and the two separate wings . This is the site of many events and has also been used as a location for filming .
Your second option is our beautiful lakeside gazebo, which overlooks the lake and has stunning views across the formal gardens. This ornate structure stands 21 feet tall, and was designed and built by the local Siddington local blacksmith. Your guests can be seated either side of the aisle, and on the lawned area to the left and right of the gazebo, with amazing views over the lake.
Your third option is the woodland dome, set within our picturesque ancient woodland area. In spring and early summer the whole area is carpeted in daffodils and bluebells turning it into a truly magical setting.
Following the ceremony, we can arrange an outdoor drinks reception for you and your guest to enjoy, and to perhaps wander around the beautiful grounds and take in the history and grandeur of the estate.
You may opt to have lawn games set out to keep your guests entertained!
When it comes to your wedding photographs, it is difficult to beat the natural scenery of an outdoor venue ,and the natural light will produce a flattering ambience. Lantern lights and a gorgeous sunset can create a magical end to your big day!
Whichever venue you choose you will have exclusive use on the day. Should the weather not be suitable to proceed outdoors, an indoor contingency will always be available within our hall or lakeside venues.
As a final note, if you plan to hold your civil ceremony outdoors always let the Registrars know in advance as they may need to arrive a little earlier.
