Photogenic Capesthorne Hall

Photogenic Capesthorne Hall

Capesthorne Hall is beautiful at any time of year, with its idyllic location in the Cheshire countryside, your wedding photographer will be spoilt for choice when it comes to locations for those all important wedding day shots.

As the season begins to change into autumn, we take a look at some of our favourite spots around the estate…

The Façade

The imposing driveway leads to the impressive courtyard and the Hall’s stately entrance.

The magnificent architecture forms an impressive silhouette against the skyline.

The Lake

The grounds here at Capesthorne Hall contain a chain of lakes, the largest of which is spanned by a beautiful ornamental bridge, providing the most romantic setting for your photographs.

The lake is also home to a pair of swans. So if you are lucky they may appear as you are having your photo shoot!

The atmosphere changes depending on the time of day, and in the early evening the sun casts a warm glow over the whole lake, creating a perfect soft focus backdrop

The Gazebo

This ornate structure was crafted by our local blacksmith at Siddington. Standing 24 feet tall, it is positioned within the formal garden overlooking the lake.

It is licensed for civil marriage ceremonies, but even if you hold your wedding in another of Capesthorne’s locations, it’s a stunning setting for photographs.

The Milanese Gates

Leading up to the gazebo, these beautiful eighteenth century Milanese Gates are at the entrance to the formal gardens. Providing another beautiful photo opportunity.

The Ancient  Woodland

If you wander along past the Milanese Gates and take the path straight ahead, you will find yourself in our magical woodland.

The Woodland Dome

Nestled in this secluded spot and surrounded by ancient trees is the woodland dome

Its perfect place for your photographer to capture a fairy tale shot.

The Chapel

The private chapel on the estate is one of our real hidden gems. Holy Trinity Chapel was consecrated in 1722 and has held many family weddings over the years.

The chapel gates are a perfect spot for the confetti throwing shot!
